Judith D. Hershberg, PT, DPT, MS
Director/Owner
Judy is a graduate of Boston University, Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, where she received a Bachelors and an Advanced Masters Degree in Physical Therapy, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mass General Institute of Health Professions. She has a focus on work-related injuries and performs Functional Capacity Evaluations and Ergonomic Assessments using the ErgoScience method. Prior to founding The Boston Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine (BCPT&SM) Judy was the Director of Physical Therapy at Boston University Medical Center. In addition to being the Director/Owner of BCPT&SM Judy is also a senior instructor for International Educational Resources, a company that helps prepare graduating physical therapy students who are planning to sit for the national licensure examination. She has also given expert testimony for litigation involving work issues including work dismissals and a client’s level of function as it relates to his/her job. Outside of the office she enjoys vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, world traveling, skiing and golfing.
Declan Fennell, PT
Senior Therapist
Declan is a graduate of Northeastern University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. While completing his degree, Declan participated in affiliations at the following institutions: South Shore Hospital, Boston Medical Center Spinal Cord Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury Unit, HealthSouth Jacksonville Florida, HealthSouth Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to working at The Boston Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine (BCPT&SM), Declan worked at Centrus Premier Homecare and was the Clinic Director at Charles River Sports Therapy (formerly Teamwork Physical Therapy). Outside of the office he enjoys bicycling, hiking, skiing and traveling.
Aubrey L. Dowell, MSPT
Aubrey is a graduate of Northeastern University where she received a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to working at The Boston Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine (BCPT&SM), Aubrey worked and completed her affiliations at the following institutions: HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Miami, Brown University - Athletic Training, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Clinic in Virginia, Network Rehabilitation at the Somerville Somerville Hospital and Leonardo Physical Therapy. She also holds a certification for Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor. When she is not working with patients she enjoys traveling and participating in outdoor/sports activities and cultural activities. Aubrey brings an international component to BCPT&SM. She is fluent in French and also proficient in Spanish.
